"Feels like you’re inside the music, kinda like being embraced by sound."
Marcelo Vig is a drummer/Producer/DJ who makes full use of any technology to execute his musical ideas. From Calf skin drums to computers, guitars, vocals, it’s all at music’s service. In his mix of live drums and electronic music, the Brazilian element of rhythm is always there to remind us of the joy of a good a dance. The music is both worldly and brazilian, echoing his life between London and Rio. Vig’s sound, although hard to be pigeonholed could easily fall under the World Music 2.0 description. His music has caught the attention of seasoned music industry professionals such as Béco Dranoff, Carlos Albuquerque and Jorge Lz. His shows are always coupled with video projections to create a full immersive experience, in an exquisite trip of sound and vision in an electronic-world music vibe, akin to an electronic Rio carnival fused with a SBTRKT show. Vig has two releases via Embolacha Discos: Om’Dub (Via crowdfunding) and SOLARIZE (EP) both available on all streaming platforms and iTunes Store)
