"With the help of his hearing device 'Phonak' and his SUBPAC, he is able to make music solely through the use of vibrations. Synthesizers, with their characteristic rich sound became a staple in sor's work."

Sor is a newly signed Amsterdam based artist with the major music label “Universal Music” in the Benelux. He is a unique artist who produces beats, plays instruments, raps and sings. He is also one of the creative minds of Black Acid, a young creative collective. Sor has been creating music for approximately 11 years but unfortunately in the beginning of 2018 he was confronted with hearing loss.
As a result, he lost 75% of his hearing, which forced him to work even more creatively. This had a huge impact on his music career and social life. However, Sor did not let this prevent him from
pursuing what he loves. He persisted and became even more motivated to maintain a positive outlook on life and continue to make music.
With the help of his hearing device “Phonak” and his SUBPAC, he is able to make music solely through the use of vibrations. Synthesizers, with their characteristic rich sound became a staple in sor’s work.
His EP “PHONAK” was released in the fall of 2019. The EP is centred around his rare illness, diving into how he deals with his hearing problems and how he looks at the future.
